Weight Gain, Yup you heard that right. Some people aren’t after the usual fat loss and sometimes aim to put on weight and add mass. 💪🏽 • Here are our 3 simple tips when looking to add weight: 💪🏽 1️⃣Make sure you are eating enough protein. There are calculators online that can help give you a clear daily protein intake. Somewhere between 1-3grams of protein per kg. 👌 2️⃣Make sure you are in a calorie surplus. This means you need to be aiming to consume 500 or more calories than you are utilising per day 👌 3️⃣Eat nutrient dense food. Gooey goji berry bars 💪🏽 • Perfect summer cycle fuel or a post training snack. 😀 • Ingredients: 📌200g pitted Medjool dates ✅ 📌200g peacan nuts (or nut of choice) ✅ 📌1/3 cup dried goji berries ✅ 📌50g desiccated coconut ✅ 📌1tbsp maple syrup (or any fruit syrup) ✅ 📌1tsp sea salt✅ 📌1tsp vanilla extract ✅ • Method: 🤔 1⃣Tip the dates into a bowl and cover with boiling water. Leave to soak for 5-10minutes then drain. 2⃣Put the drained dates, nuts, goji berries, coconut, maple syrup, sea salt and vanilla extract into a food processor. Blitz until combined and the mixture is sticky. 3⃣Line a square baking tray with parchment paper and transfer the mixture into the tin. With the back of a spatula flatten out the mixture. 4⃣Place in the fridge to set for 1hr, or for 30mins in the freezer.
